Going through some of the opt-in spam in my inbox today:

ITtoolbox “Emerging Tech” Jobs Alert contains 9 positions…most of them are SAP and PeopleSoft jobs. These haven’t been “Emerging Tech” since 1989! Perhaps’ I’m accidently subscribed to “Submerging Tech”.

VMware offer me the chance to win an iPhone if I update my profile. Sounds good to me. Someone has obviously done some data migration recently, because I find that my city is listed as “Victoria” (actually my state), and the postcode field contains my phone number. Hmmm…I think I’ve got some mapping software I can sell them.

Update: Confirmation email from VMware tells me the the iPhone offer is for US and Canada only. They could’a told me that up-front!
